Ronald C. Pruett, Jr. has extensive experience in the creation, acquisition, and management of direct to consumer marketing companies in the US and abroad. Prior to joining Mercury Media as Chief Executive Officer, Pruett was the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Polymedica/Liberty Medical, the largest publicly traded diabetic supply company and one of the largest multichannel direct response marketers in the country. The company was sold to Medco Health Solutions.
Pruett was the Chief Executive Officer of Acadient, an online education company partnered with Boston University and an Inc 5000 Company, and founding executive of Insurance.com, America’s largest online insurance distributor funded by Fidelity Investments and sold to a consortium of leading insurance companies. Pruett has been an executive or founder of ventures financed by American International Group (AIG), Palmer Partners, Liberty Mutual Group, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Capital Partners, CP Baker and Company, and Fidelity Investments.
Pruett graduated with a B.A. (Honors) in International Relations and Political Science from Trinity College in Connecticut and received his M.B.A. from the École Européenne des Affaires (now ESCP-EAP), a French Grande École located in Paris, France where he graduated as Valedictorian.
